Celebrate Clean Hospitals Day 2025 Together with SARAYA

This year's theme, Human Factors and Collaboration, reminds us that preventing infections isn’t just about technical domains, such as cleaning surfaces or device reprocessing. It’s also about the people behind these efforts, whose training, teamwork, and communication all play a vital role in keeping healthcare environments safe.

Infections linked to healthcare environments continue to be a major global concern. Reducing these infections risks protects patients and staff, and also lowers antibiotic use, which is an important step in fighting antibiotic resistance. Environmental services (EVS) teams are on the frontline of this effort, yet they often don’t get the recognition or support they deserve. This campaign encourages healthcare facilities to invest in their EVS staff and foster collaboration across departments to improve infection prevention.

Supporting healthcare facilities in joining the campaign, a free promotional toolkit is available, it includes posters, social media graphics, and more. You can also show your support by adding your name to the selfie board and sharing it on social media using the campaign's hashtags (#EnviromentalHygiene #CleanHospitalsDay #CleanHospitals). Ahead of the event, a Clean Hospitals Webber Teleclass was held, featuring Dr. Alexandra Peters discussing this year’s theme – a recording is available on the Clean Hospitals website. We hope many people will join in and help make healthcare environments cleaner and safer for everyone.

As a long-standing partner, SARAYA is committed to supporting this initiative that promotes environmental hygiene in healthcare. At the ICPIC (International Conference on Prevention and Infection Control) held in Switzerland in September, SARAYA’s efforts for Clean Hospitals were highlighted and received strong interest from many attendees.
